| Ordinance 1st & 2nd Reading | Renaming the Park Located at Tatnall Street and 24th Street Presently Known as the "Tatnall Playground" to "One Love Park" |
| Synopsis | This Ordinance is being presented by City Council for Council’s review and approval. If approved, Council would be authorizing the renaming of a City park at 24th and Tatnall Streets (currently known as Tatnall Playground) as “One Love Park.” Council President Theo Gregory is proposing that the park carry the title “One Love Park,” based on the song “One Love” and lyrics by internationally-known reggae musician Bob Marley. Marley lived in Wilmington in the mid-1960’s in a home owned by his mother at 2311 Tatnall Street across the street from the park. The Council President said the lyrics of One Love and what the song has come to mean to people in the years since Bob Marley composed it is a reminder about the importance of love for our children and for each other. Bob Marley’s daughter, Cedella Marley, based on her father’s work and legacy, adapted a children’s book entitled “One Love.” Cedella said the book is intended to remind new generations that positive things can happen in a community, and people can feel good when everyone comes together with love in their hearts. |

| Resolution Pending | Approving the Disposition of 303 North Pine Street to F&L Properties |
| Synopsis | This Resolution is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval. If approved, Council would be authorizing the City, which is the current owner of the Pine Street Property, to sell the property to F&L Properties LLC for the sum of $10,000. F&L Properties successfully bid for the property during a public Request for Proposals process held in 2012. According to the Real Estate and Housing Department, F&L Properties will operate its business at the property and will make improvements to the façade of the property. |

| Resolution Pending | Approving the Disposition of 528 South Claymont Street to Neighborhood House for a Southbridge Community Garden |
| Synopsis | This Resolution is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval. If approved, Council would be authorizing the City, which is the current owner of the South Claymont Street Property, to transfer the title of the property at no cost to Neighborhood House, a non-profit agency in Southbridge. The Neighborhood House, according to the Real Estate and Housing Department, will use the property as part of its Southbridge Community Garden Project. |

| Synopsis | This Ordinance is being presented by City Council for Council’s review and approval. If approved, Council would be authorizing the rezoning of a portion of the former Wilmington Finishing Company on Riddle Avenue from C-6 (Special Commercial District) to W-4 (Waterfront Residential Commercial District) and the rezoning of another portion of the same property from C-6 (Special Commercial District) to R-1 (One-Family Detached Dwellings). |

| Synopsis | This Ordinance is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval. If approved, Council would be authorizing the issuance of a General Obligation Bond not to exceed $4 million to finance City street paving and reconstruction of various streets and roadways. The fiscal impact from the issuance of the Bond is approximately $50,000. |

| Resolution Pending | Supporting the Delaware Crime Prevention and Rehabilitation Act and Encourage the Delaware General Assembly to Vote to Approve the Act |
| Synopsis | This Resolution is being presented by Council for Council’s review and approval. If approved, Council would be encouraging the Delaware General Assembly to approve legislation known as the Delaware Crime Prevention and Rehabilitation Act with a added emphasis on incarcerated offenders who exhibit some form of mental illness. This legislation, as proposed today, seeks to align the State’s criminal justice system with its original statement of purpose of providing treatment, rehabilitation and restoration of offenders as useful, law-abiding citizens within the community. The resolution asks that additional language related to mental illness be added to the proposed legislation due to the failure of the deinstitutionalization movement which results in people with mental illness self-medicating, committing misdemeanors or committing minor felonies related to their symptoms of mental illness. |

| Resolution Pending | Supporting House Bill No. 134 to Amend the Delaware Code Regarding to the Expungement of Adult Arrest Records |
| Synopsis | This Resolution is being presented by City Council for Council’s review and approval. If approved, Council would be urging the Delaware State Senate to pass House Bill 134 related to the expungement of adult arrest records. The legislation has already been approved by the Delaware House of Representatives. The Council Resolution would encourage the Assembly to adopt this legislation because it will make the statutory scheme for expungement of adult arrest records more efficient, and require the use of fewer Superior Court resources. |
